So, the Islamic legislation is an overall, all-embracing code bearing on the various aspects of the life of the individual and the society as well. It touches on all spheres of human knowledge, viz. economics. sociology, internal and foreign policies, the relationship between the Muslim State and its friends as well as its enemies, in time of war and peace, between the ruler and the subjects; between the employer and the employees;and finally between husband and wife, father and son. صلى الله عليه وسلمllah the صلى الله عليه وسلمlmighty says.
{مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِي الْكِتَابِ مِنْ شَيْء}
"i.e. Nothing have We omitted from the رضي الله عنهook," (VI, 38) .
He said in his treatise on "Method and wisdom of Islamic legislation. [4] "Legislation is the attitude of Shar'i which is the divine institution revealed by the Lord of the Universe upon the prophet Muhammad, P.رضي الله عنه.U.H. so that the en tire mankind should abide by it, thus attaining felicity in this worldly life as well as the Here-after".
This divine Law which seeks man's happiness and well-being is characterized as stated before. by countless, unique excellences, being صلى الله عليه وسلمllah's eternal revelation. It is perfect and integrated, free from all deficiencies and imperfections. صلى الله عليه وسلمllah the صلى الله عليه وسلمlmighty says about the holy Quran, the first of the two essential sources of Islamic Law (Shari'a)
{وَلَوْ كَانَ مِنْ عِنْدِ غَيْرِ اللَّهِ لَوَجَدُوا فِيهِ اخْتِلافاً كَثِيراً}
"i.e. Had it been from other than صلى الله عليه وسلمllah they would surely have found therein much discrepency"
